After a break of just over 2 months, I went to my first yoga class of the day... I can barely type this as my arms feel like lead! I thought I was doing so well too, during the class, surprised myself that I could still maintain a chatturanga, upward dog into downward dog. Ummmm, I am paying for it now though, it has only become apparent in the last 30 minutes or so, my arms feel like lead, refuse to work and is slow to respond to the neurones telling it what to do....
I have to have some fasting bloods done tomorrow as part of my medical with my new family doctor, as well as a mammogram and a bone density scan. All to provide a baseline as I have no medical records here, and though healthy, I have a few long term on going conditions like asthma and hypertension. I have been popping pills for my blood pressure for many years, I hate it but I have no choice in the matter. Oh well, just be thankful there are medicines around that keep me healthy.
I was going to go to a lunchtime yoga class after all these medical investigations, but now am not so sure if my arms will thank me. My darling bought me a 4 month unlimited yoga class pass at Yogatree for Christmas, which was very generous of him. So, I am trying to make the most of it, so will see whether the lead in my arms will turn to molten gold and be fluid and flow like electricity down my arms making them work more efficiently!
I know, I am rambling, but the blog is called Suyin's ramblings, so I am allowed. I am perched on the bed writing this as the mac book charger is by the bed and I could not be bovvered to move it. Yesterday, I was moaning at Dave, complaining about the Roomba, saying it's not as versatile as a cylinder or upright vac. I cannot use it to vacuum anything but the floor! I want it to get into the crevices, vacuum the skirting boards, in between the sofa cushions, and also I have to tidy up the whole area so nothing stops it in its tracks- the Roomba, that is! Today though, I am thankful for it, as I don't think my arms would be able to work a vacuum cleaner, that's how bad it feels hahahha. It's done a reasonable job, and I have tidied, so everyone's a winner.....
It's so nice to have some space to myself, peace and quiet, these were my thoughts, after I had walked the kids to the school bus, returned to the apartment and Dave had left for work, so it was all quiet apart from the hum from the tumble dryer. Back to school and work, house work for me. I had an hour to whizz around tidying and cleaning before yoga, so set Roomba off in the bedroom first. It stopped within 15 minutes, asking me to remove the brushes from their cage and clean them! My hair was tangled in it.... it's official, I am moulting...there was so much hair caught up in the blooming brush wheels, its surprising I have any left on my head! None were grey though, which is positive. I wonder when I am going to be completely bald. The longer your hair, the longer the strands that fall off and get caught in Roomba's brush wheels, tangling them up and stopping it from working. If we do have to buy another vacuum, I will buy one that is specifically for pet hairs. I have no pets, but I have hairs!
Trying hard not to fall asleep here, feeling a post priandal snooze coming on, but there's laundry to fold and the kids will be back soon! I better tune in to The Archer's to see if Nigel's dead! I was listening to the 60th anniversary special yesterday, on line, and was expecting to here either David or him fall off the roof, knowing it was going to happen but not wanting it too, went to cower by my Dave and was saying to the laptop, NO NO NO, and Jasmine said, they're not real mummy, you know that don't you? They can't hear you either, stop talking to the computer! Not real? Not real? The archers? Not real????
